Downtown Chula Vista Día de los Muertos Celebration 2026

Downtown Chula Vista turns Third Avenue into a celebration of remembrance and community on November 1. The sixth annual Día de los Muertos gathering combines live music and dance across four locations with a car show, artisan vendors, food and a Catrín and Catrina ensemble contest. Walk the district with friends, visit the ofrendas and make time for the participating businesses, including a taproom hosting live music at 4 p.m. This is a mixed-age cultural event, with adult costumes, performances and neighborhood food stops giving a group plenty to share. The celebration runs from 3–7:30 p.m. Bring a copy of a loved one’s photo for the community altar and consult the organizer’s map before arriving.
