July 4th Fireworks & Live Music — Sugar Hollow Marina, Norris Lake

Sugar Hollow Marina’s Fourth of July lineup pairs a full day of live music with a fireworks show once the sky goes dark over Norris Lake — a proper all-day event rather than just an evening add-on. It’s aimed at the boat crowd that wants to make the whole day of it, starting with day-drinking on the water and ending with one of the better fireworks views on the lake.

Get on the water early if you want a good anchor spot by the time the fireworks start — Sugar Hollow gets busy on the Fourth. Keep the cooler stocked, since you’re looking at hours between arrival and the actual show. It’s a long day, but that’s the appeal — music, drinks, and a lake full of boats all watching the same sky.
